Freshers Week - September 2024
This is your chance to dive into university life, meet new people, and explore all the exciting opportunities Brunel has to offer. Whether you’re looking to make a difference, gain new skills, or just try something new, we’ve got a variety of volunteering roles waiting for you.
Volunteering and Part-Time Work Fair - 8th of October 2024
Join us in the Michael Sterling building (STEM Centre) at the fair to discover the diverse opportunities on offer, learn how to boost your CV and Job application, sign up to valuable experience, and engage more with the local community.
Student Volunteering Week - 10th to 16th of February 2025
A week dedicated to celebrating the impact students have on their communities. We’ll be promoting and encouraging participation in a variety of volunteering activities.
Volunteers Fair - 11th of February 2025
Join us again in the Michael Sterling building (STEM Centre) to explore new opportunities and see how your community engagement can make a difference to your personal, academic and professional life
National Volunteers Week - 2nd to 8th of June 2025
This week highlights the benefits of volunteering and we will showcase the diverse roles available. It’s also a time to celebrate and thank volunteers for their incredible contributions.

Brunel Mentor Buddies training 2024
- Complete the online Brunel Mentor Buddies training on BrightSpace before 13th of September 2024.
- Attend a face-to-face training session on Wednesday the 25th of September (location to be confirmed via email). If you can not attend, notify the volunteers team at least 48 hours in advance by emailing brunelvolunteers@brunel.ac.uk or marsha.thompson@brunel.ac.uk
- On the 25th of September 2024, join us for a fun social event where you'll meet your new Brunel Mentee and fellow mentors.
Students In Schools Scheme - Available all year!
Volunteer alongside qualified teachers in schools through the Brunel Students in Schools programme. This is a fantastic chance to inspire young minds, support students’ academic and personal growth, and boost your employment prospects.
